It's Here! How Readers Discover Content in Scholarly Journals.
|1. Simon Inger Consulting, in association with Tracy Gardner Marketing, is conducting a major study into reader behaviour as a repeat of the projects undertaken in 2005 and 2008 (see publications). It is anticipated that over half a million invitations to take the survey will be emailed by a range of publishing and publishing intermediary organisations American Medical Association, CABI, Cambridge University Press, IOP Publishing, Nature Publishing Group, Palgrave Macmillan, Publishing Technology, SAGE, and RSC Publishing. Our aim is to get over 20,000 researchers to complete the survey making it the largest study of its kind in scholarly publishing. We anticipate that the results will be published in September and presented at the ALPSP International Conference. Watch this space for further news!|

The survey aims to capture in some detail a "state-of-the-nation" of journal publishing. Initial findings will be reported in September and presented at the ALPSP International Conference and ALPSP will publish the complete report later in that month.
